Browser-only tools
The public PDF splitter, merger, organizer, images-to-PDF tool and image compression/conversion tools, including JPEG XL, and the video compressor process your chosen files in your browser. The 3D viewer also opens common meshes, point clouds and Gaussian splats on your device. These browser tools do not upload those files to MakePip. Outputs exist in the tab until you download them or leave the page. Your browser may retain downloaded files and normal website cache data.
Creative-worker tools
Background removal and photo-to-3D send the selected image over HTTPS to MakePip and its private processing worker after you confirm the processing notice. Video upscaling and the YouTube editor send the complete selected video to the private processor. Spatial Video to Gaussian Splat uploads the complete original spatial recording, including any audio and embedded metadata, so both camera views can be decoded by the private worker. It exports a static Gaussian PLY without audio or location metadata. HDR spatial footage is converted to SDR for training. Blender preview conversion uploads the original .blend after confirmation and exports a GLB from an isolated processor. Embedded scripts are disabled, networking is blocked, and only the temporary input and output folders are mounted. Missing external assets and Blender-specific effects may not appear. The editor uses local speech recognition; it does not send a transcript to an external AI service. For video-to-3D, your browser samples 36 images from the clip and sends only those frames after confirmation. The original video and audio stay on your device. Images and sampled frames are normalized and metadata is removed before processing. The queue accepts requests while the worker is busy or offline, with a maximum wait of 12 hours before an unstarted request expires. Job status and completed results remain accessible for up to 24 hours after completion. Requesting a download link requires the browser session that created the job or a private result link sent by email. Download links last five minutes and can be used by anyone who has the link. Stored input and output objects each expire one day after their creation and are removed by storage cleanup. The PC worker deletes its local job files after processing and clears abandoned temporary job folders on startup.
Optional result notifications
When enabled, the model tool can send a one-time ready notification if you choose to enter an email address. The address is used only for that job, is kept private from the processing worker, and is deleted after successful delivery, after five unsuccessful delivery attempts, or when the request expires. Delivery attempts stop 24 hours after submission. Any unsent address expires with the temporary job record. Guests receive a private result link. Signed-in users can request delivery to their account address: a result up to 8 MB is attached, and larger results include a download link. Email attachments remain in the recipient’s mailbox after temporary website files expire. Anyone with that link can access the model while it remains available. Result notifications are currently disabled while the sender mailbox is being set up. Result notifications do not change how browser tools process files.
Accounts and server jobs
An account is optional for everyday tools. If you use an account, MakePip stores your email address, sign-in token records and job history. Server PDF/audio jobs have retention limits shown on their results. Audible connections are encrypted and can be disconnected. Amazon sign-in is handled through Amazon, not a MakePip password form.
Cookies and local storage
Account sessions use cookies. Creative jobs use a random, HTTP-only session cookie for access control and local storage to resume a saved job for up to 48 hours. The access cookie also lasts up to 48 hours. These identifiers do not contain your email. An owner-approved testing device can use a separate secure, HTTP-only browser cookie for up to 180 days to bypass daily submission allowances. It can be revoked from the testing-device page; file limits and the one-active-job rule still apply. Rate limits use a salted hash of an IP address with short-lived counters. Do not share job download links with anyone you do not want to access the result.
Contact messages and service logs
The contact form stores your message and, only if you provide it, a reply email for up to 30 days. Standard server logs can contain IP addresses, request paths and operational details used to run and troubleshoot the site. Do not put passwords, payment details or sensitive file contents into the contact form.
Traffic statistics
MakePip records aggregate public page views, traffic-source categories and tool activity for 90 days. Daily visitor estimates use a rotating, salted network identifier; the raw IP address is not stored in these statistics. Shared networks can count as one visitor, and blocked scripts can reduce the totals. File names, contents, transcripts and email addresses are excluded. You can disable browser measurements through Analytics preferences in the footer; Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Aggregate server job counters also help us monitor service use. Google Analytics remains disabled until a measurement ID is configured, and then loads only after consent on public pages. It does not load on account or result pages.
Advertising
Advertising is currently disabled. If Google AdSense is enabled later, editorial pages may load Google advertising technology, subject to the applicable consent choices. Ad serving is gated by publisher configuration and consent-platform setup. Ads are excluded from file workspaces and result pages. This notice will be updated when advertising is activated.
Your choices
Use the browser-only tools when you want to avoid uploading a document. Save creative outputs promptly. You can clear site cookies to remove access to a creative session. For questions about data or an account, use the contact form and include enough information to identify the request without sending sensitive documents.
