Share your artwork

Export SVG, PDF or raster images with the upstream editor.

Your artwork stays on this device. This editor processes files locally. Browser storage may hold preferences, saved documents and recovery copies; clearing site data, private browsing or storage pressure can remove them. Download your native document regularly and keep an independent copy of your source artwork.

A desktop or large tablet gives the drawing tools and panels more room.

How to use Illustration Studio

  1. 1Open Illustration Studio in a current browser. Choose WebGL compatibility mode if automatic graphics startup fails.
  2. 2Create or open a document. Draw shapes and paths, refine anchors, set fills and strokes, and organize your work with layers and artboards.
  3. 3Download a native .vectorcraft file to keep editable work, then export SVG, PDF or an image. Check imported fonts, effects and exported artwork before sharing.

Before you start

Do I need to install VectorCraft?

No. MakePip hosts the official VectorCraft 0.17.0 browser release from storytold/vectorcraft. The engine and bundled fonts run locally. First launch loads about 79 MB of assets before compression.

Is my artwork uploaded?

No. The illustration editor opens and processes artwork on your device, and saves or exports through browser downloads. Browser storage can retain preferences, documents and recovery data.

Which illustration tools are available?

The upstream application includes Pen and direct selection, shapes, layers, groups, artboards, fills, strokes, gradients, type and path operations. It is under active development; complex behavior and import/export fidelity vary.

Which files can I use?

Use the native .vectorcraft format for editable projects and SVG for interchange. The upstream editor also supports PDF and multiple raster formats, with limits for complex or proprietary documents. A PDF-compatible Illustrator file is not a guarantee of full Illustrator editing-data support. Test your own files and review results.

Will unsaved artwork be kept?

Recovery may be available in the same browser profile, but it is not a backup. Browser data clearing, private browsing, quota limits and storage pressure can remove it. Save a native document regularly and keep independent copies of source artwork.

What devices work best?

Use a current desktop browser or large tablet with WebAssembly and WebGPU or WebGL 2. The full editor has many panels; a larger screen helps. Try compatibility mode if startup fails. This upstream release is alpha, so review important artwork and exports.
